History
Pininfarina's version of the Dino 246 replacement was as balanced and poised as Bertone's GT4 was ungainly, although it took an extra two years to arrive. Strictly a two-seater. Mechanically exactly the same as the GT4, though the chassis was 8.3in shorter. 208 was Italy-only 2-liter version.
The first examples had a large proportion of fiberglass body panels but all-steel bodies across the board from 1977 watch for rust on these. GTS targa roof model launched in '78, the whole range updated to fuel injection in '81.
